High level seagull spiking with IPAF trained bird proofing teams

Some high-level seagull spiking here from a big cherry picker going on at a new development near Gloucester here from one of British Bird Control’s IPAF and CSCS qualified bird proofing teams – Craig Anderton and Pete Doyle.

Seagulls have a long nesting season – March to September – and are protected by the Wildlife and Countryside Act while nesting.
Spikes for seagulls have longer steel prongs than pigeon spikes to prevent landing, roosting and fouling off the perimeters and leading edges of buildings.
The spikes are attached using clear-drying, all weather silicone adhesive – works that require dry weather.
